I was learning to write an explanation writing. I found it easy to write my explanation in sequence because our class planted lettuces in our garden I found it tricky add  topic words. Next I need to add more detail by listening to class discussion.

I am learning to make and justify inferences. I found it tricky to find the text in the book. My next step is to find more inferences. I learnt to not lie to anyone and blame others.

I am learning to write a narrative poem. I found it tricky to copy it from the book to the google doc.  I learnt that a narrative poem can not be like a story it needs rhyming, simile and onomatopoeia's. I need to keep working on these features.

I was learning to read analogue clocks and write the time in numbers and words. I found it easy because I allready know half pasts and o'clocks.

I am learning to find and summarise information in non-fiction texts by skimming and scanning.  I found it tricky to find the words in the text that have sp,gr,br and st blends and list those below.  My next step is to find more compound words.

I was learning to use place value to solve 2 and 3 digit addition problems. I found it easy to add the hundreds tens and ones. Next time I need to work on subtraction.

Reflection In this activity I was learning to define a habitat. I worked with a buddy to come up with a definition. I want to learn more about habitats.

In this activity my task was to make simple inferences.    I found some of it  easy because I found clues in the book.  My next steps is to keep working on inferences to help me have a deeper understanding of the story.

In this activity my task to use place value showing my understanding of tens and ones.  I found this easy cause the first one is a ten and the second one is the ones.  I enjoyed counting the numbers in the tens and ones.

Te Tuhi - Tapa Cloth

In this activity I was making a tapa cloth made out of paper.  I enjoyed painting the paper and doing the dye over the drawing.

In this activity I was playing soft ball . I enjoyed the one where  learnt to catch with butterfly hands then passing it to a buddy.

In this activity my task was to a pepeha.  I found this tricky because we had to find what the words mean.  My next steps are to do more recerching.

Statistics Room 14's favourite food

Reflection
We are learning to do a statistical inquiry.  It was tricky because  to get the data you have to ask everyone and sometimes you will go back to them.  It was easy to put it on my blog cause I did it last year.  I want to learn about other graphs.

Bio Poem

Reflection
I was learning to write a Bio poem.  I learnt how to write a Bio poem about myself.   I enjoyed putting the picture on the blog.  I found tricky to do the picture because I had to make it bigger or smaller.  I am most proud of doing the font.  I was most confused about putting the background because it is hard to pick.

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast. I enjoy swimming.  This year I am looking forward to meeting new classmates.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
